About Kaeja Elevations
Kaeja Elevations is a contemporary dance partnering technique developed over 25 years by Karen and Allen Kaeja, founders of the renowned Toronto-based dance company Kaeja D’Dance. Originally created for their choreography, these lifts and tosses are now taught in workshops all over the world. Because the Kaeja Elevations use momentum and dynamic tension, you don’t need super strength to lift someone. Anybody can be a base or a flyer! Kaeja Elevations is a fun, safe and empowering partner dance technique, combining elements of contact improvisation, modern dance, acro yoga and martial arts.
