An in-person 6-week series on fundamental poses

REFRESH + REFINE
A series of classes designed to build your awareness of asana (yoga poses) and empower your practice.

Enjoy a workshop-y type class that provides room for experimentation and discussion. We’ll break down each movement and muscle know-how that will enhance your experience of yoga asana (postures).

These classes will borrow from other movement modalities, introduce unique props and meditation techniques to expand your body awareness. My hope is that all participants leave feeling capable and empowered to step into any yoga class.

OVER SIX SESSIONS

WEEK ONE
Strong shoulders: downward dog, plank and forearm postures

WEEK TWO
Pelvic tips + a happy spine in backbends: cobra versus upward facing dog

WEEK THREE
Components of a sun salutation (hello, chaturanga!): building variations that work for you

WEEK FOUR
Feet and balance: celebrating the wibble

WEEK FIVE
Hips + dips: warrior 3 and ardha chandrasana (half moon pose)

WEEK SIX
The step through: building proficiency in stepping to a lunge from downward dog

Cost: $135 plus HST (monthly members $120 plus HST)
