Massage Night

with Drew Hume

An environment where you can safely and consciously expand your touch vocabulary. Through the vehicle of Thai massage, we explore the important conversation around touch as well as its application.

This workshop will give you a taste of what Thai massage can be – whether or not you’re looking to study further, it is a great opportunity to explore touch with a friend, family member or partner. It’s a great way to spend quality time with loved ones – and the benefit is you can keep practicing on one another at home, which will help you long-term with the general aches and pains we all encounter through stress and injury.

Come along to connect deeply and have fun learning a new skill.

About Drew Hume

“Part of my work is aimed at educating people on human biology and the physical forms of Thai Massage and another, larger dream of mine is to ensure that as a culture, we become more touch-literate.
I hope to dissolve the culturally ingrained habits that have been spread out of the fear of touch. Touch-aversion goes against our deepest biological needs and so it continues to take us further and further out of connection. I’m here to share education and teach skills in compassionate touch so that we can return to a far healthier state, and a far more interconnected community.

In case you’re wondering about my own education, I have a BASc. in Human Biology, and numerous certifications in manual therapy through a Thai massage lens.”
